The practical guide

Book the room.
Keep the view.

Three things to look at when you turn a favourite view into a stay.

01 / Choose the category

Keep the room name with the view.

Our shortlist names the categories selected by our editors. On Booking.com, choose the same category: “City view” does not automatically mean a view of a particular landmark.

Use the photographs inside its room card to explore the space. The hotel's main photograph may show a different room or a shared area.

02 / Compare your budget

Start with the nightly guide.

The “From” price is per night for two adults in one room, with breakfast and taxes included. If a room is sold without breakfast, its price is marked “Room only”. It is rounded up from a sample stay total, rather than a live quote for your trip.

We normally check two nights around four months ahead, and try three nights when a selected category is absent. A “3-night stay” label means that is the stay we found. The sample dates and check date are near the bottom of the hotel page.

03 / Make it your stay

Choose your dates on Booking.com.

Open the booking link, enter your dates and check the exact room name, breakfast and final total. Availability, prices and stay restrictions can change with the dates.

If a particular floor, balcony or unobstructed angle is essential, ask the property to clarify before you book. A request for a feature is different from a category that includes it.

Could you confirm that this room category includes the stated view from the room or its private balcony? Is that view included in the category, or subject to a room-allocation request?
