Wow. Had lunch here on a day trip to Nerano, and…. Just wow. Saw the Michelin star sign on the door and stumbled in for lunch on a weekday without a reservation, we were one of a few. After 2 weeks in Italy, having multiple “this is the best meal of my life” moments, this one at the capitan took the cake. The pasta for which the town gets its renown is to die for. The stone raw fish: WOW. You won’t regret a meal here. Portions and price were more than fair! Thanks for a best meal

We came to eat at their rooftop Michelin restaurant, one of the most amazing meals we’ve ever had, and we’ve been to many fine dining restaurants. Everything about our experience from beginning to end was superb! Alfonso greeted us which means a lot, I think this may be the best dining experience on the Amalfi coast!

Taverna del Capitano is a true hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast, we loved staying in Nerano and experiencing a more quiet, local village. The hotel is run and owned by a very kind, hospitable family and the rooms are comfortable with beautiful tiles. We loved our sea view room! Breakfast is abundant and delicious, and the Michelin starred restaurant on the roof is not to be missed — Chef Alfonso Caputo prepared a wonderful vegetarian menu for us which was tasty and creative. I can't wait to return to the hotel and Nerano in the future!

Amazing experience at this hotel. Family run business who truly care about their guests. The rooms are clean, meals were delicious and they helped us with booking our boat excursion to Capri. You can’t beat the location, directly on the beach. Thank you for an excellent 3 days in Nerano.
