Amazing location, right next to the Gare De Lyon transit hub and about 7 mins walk from the Gare d’Austerlitz station. The room was fantastic, other than not a lot of drawers space, it was very comfortable clean, nice size bathroom and shower. The view is amazing though. The kitchen and bar was our go to for breakfast- delicious. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
We had a room with view across Seine and the Eiffel Tower in the background. Great location in terms of access. Not that much to do in the immediate environment (except Coulée Verte René-Dumont: elevated garden walkway) but direct access to Metro and RER. Staff in hotel and restaurant were very attentive. Only downside was that breakfast area/restaurant was quite cold and not that inviting to stay around. But there is a good bakery around the corner.
I did not appreciate the first room we were given. The bathroom had a strange shower that was extremely high and difficulty to get into. The room had a view of the garden, which would have been nice if it wasn't dead. I went to try to switch rooms, but I was told it would be done the same day. When we got back to the room, it could not be done that evening, but it could be done the next day. The next morning, I went to the front desk to see if the room could be changed. The front desk attendant said it would be ten minutes, so I went to breakfast with my family. When we came back from breakfast, the room was still not ready and was told it would be another ten minutes. The room change was finalized as of 12:30, but the room was not ready and they would move the stuff for us into the other room. This process wasted an half of our day in Paris. Talk to the hotel manager, Anais, about the problem with the room. She was rude and impertinent. She said, "What do you want me to do?", and did not offer any possible solutions to the problem at hand. Jessica, the head of operations, finally did fix the issue and was very apologetic about the mishap. She was very accommodating and continued to check on us throughout our stay. Thanks again Jessica. Thibault and Alexander at the front desk were excellent at their job. They answered any questions about the area and Paris in general. In the restaurant, Thomas, Lyvna, Mehana, and Boki made dining there pleasurable. They were affable and attentive to our needs. I have food allergies, and they were very kind to bring us non-dairy milk without needing to ask for it. The elevators need work. The doors seem to snap shut without any kind of warning. I got caught in the door as I was halfway in. The door closed on my arm and bruised it quite badly.
The hotel is in a wonderful location near by the Gare du Lyon station. It made it very easy to access the rest of Pairs. The rooms are fairly large for a hotel in a major European city. However, the layout of the rooms vary. Some of the rooms are slightly larger depending where in the building it is. The room was clean, modern, and well kept. The restraunt is quite good, but they have a fairly limited menu. The staff was exceptional. Thibault and Alexander at the front desk were extremely helpful. This was our first time in Paris, so they were very helpful with suggestions on places to see and how to get to the places we wanted to go via public transit. Thomas, Lyvna, and Mehana made dining in the restraunt a pleasure. They were very attentive and kind. Boki, the chef that made omelets in the morning, was very friendly and extremely good at his job. The only reason I am giving the hotel 4 stars is the elevators. For some reason, the elevators close very quickly without any kind of auditory cue. The doors will close regardless IF ANYTHING IS IN BETWEEN THEM. I got into the elevator and got hit across the edge of my back with the closing door. My mom, on the other hand, had the doors close on her shoulders leaving a big bruise. They are a real safety hazard and an serious accident waiting to happen.
Was really pleased with the view. Kitchen and bar staff both for dinner and breakfast were impeccable. Baki was so kind and pleasant to chat with while he made my breakfast and allowed me to practice my French with him. The food was amazing. The service I highly recommend at the restaurant. I Would return here just for this reason! Room could have been stocked with more towels, sitting chairs. Front desk people were so kind and helpful.
